When juveniles are not effectively treated, they return to the system. Juvenile mental health courts are established in an estimated 18 jurisdictions. By using the situational leadership theory, juvenile justice administrators can take the lead in planning and encouraging nationwide juvenile mental health courts for both their subordinates and for society.
